Macmillan Cancer Support
Brown & Co's chosen charity is Macmillan Cancer Support.
This well known charity improves the lives of people affected by cancer by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support while pushing for better cancer care.
As a firm Brown & Co is actively involved in events across the Eastern region.
In summer 2007, Phil Dunn (from the Brigg office) and his son Ben cycled 500 miles in a week visiting all twelve Brown & Co offices. Starting in Poland and ending in St Lucia, over 40 colleagues joined in stages of the cycle tour helping to intrepid duo to raise over £10,500.
The duo is seen here part way through the challenge with colleagues from the Spalding and Grantham offices.

Meanwhile Brown & Co staff have run the 2007 Flora London Marathon and participated in a number of other sports related fund raising activities.
In 2006 we were delighted to be the main sponsor of Norfolk farmer,
Ian Mason's, Norfolk golf marathon.
Ian Mason played all Norfolk's 31 courses over six consecutive days raising over £50,000 for Macmillan.

In the spring, battling atrocious weather conditions, a determined team of five from the Bury St Edmunds office raised over £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge – conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden within 24 hours.

Several Brown & Co offices have taken part in the world's largest coffee morning and held Christmas fund raising drinks parties.
