Environmental assurance schemes were devised for farms to bring farmers and consumers closer together. They are designed to provide consumers with the confidence that
products have been produced from environmentally aware producers.
There are two schemes used by UK supermarkets, these are Nature’s Choice (Tesco) and LEAF Marque. Both schemes have common aims and objectives implemented through
Integrated Farm Management (IFM), which provides the basis for efficient and profitable production, which is economically viable and environmentally responsible. Brown & Co assists clients by offering advice on compliance with existing plans prior to an audit or construct and help implement a full IFM plan.
