Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
Brown & Co’s environmental department offers advice and guidance to assist farmers and landowners throughout the complex and constantly changing regulations of EIA and planning. Our team of Environmental Consultants provides a comprehensive
and professional service in all EIA matters.

In any project, the potential of a requirement for an EIA is identified as early as possible, enabling the EIA process to be initiated from the outset, allowing findings and recommendations to be incorporated into project design, rather than added at a
later date. This approach can recover costly time delays, while identifying any unforeseen requirements and costs at the earliest opportunity. The outcome is a smoother planning and project completion process.

Contaminated land
The history of UK land practices means that land in some areas has been found to have been contaminated by previous uses.

To ensure you meet Planning requirements, Brown & Co provides a full contaminated land advice and investigation service. It is important that this is assessed early in the project to prevent unforeseen cost and reduce expensive delays further down the line.

Amenity and development planning
Our flexible service encompasses consultancy and design in the preparation of plans and reports prior to gaining planning consent, as well as meeting the terms of consents that are granted. This includes:

• ground surveys
• professionally drawn scale plans
• concept plans
• construction drawings
• planting plans.
