Water monitoring
The processes carried out on land often have a direct relationship on surrounding watercourses, which can lead to water quality issues.
Brown & Co provides a comprehensive water quality monitoring service. Our team investigates concerns clients may have regarding the effect practices may be having on a nearby watercourse, and we advise planning requirements and assist with monitoring abstraction water quality.
Fisheries management
The number of fisheries has increased greatly, in part due to agricultural diversification. Without proper management, a fishery can quickly be degraded by overpopulation, nutrient issues, fish health and disease problems and, in certain cases, fish kills.
Our consultants provide advice and guidance to help fisheries clients avoid these problems and comply with regulation, for example in relation to fish movements. The team also carries out fish surveys for stock assessments or removals.
