Philip Dunn advises farmers and other rural businesses throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Specialist activities include business reviews, structural and strategic advice, joint venture arrangements, business planning and advice on EU and UK legislation. Philip has lived and worked in the locality all his life and is actively involved in many local farming and business groups, whilst still running his own diversified farming business in North Lincolnshire.

Richard Alderson
Richard Alderson

Richard Alderson advises farmers and landowners on employment issues, agricultural planning, water licensing and single farm payment. A well-known figure in the local agricultural and business community, Richard held the post of NFU group secretary for Brigg and Epworth for 18 years.

Vice chair of the Governors of Bishop Burton College at Beverley, he is also chair of the West Lindsey Strategic Partnership. With family farming roots in the Yorkshire Dales, Richard previously owned a small dairy and arable farm in North Lincolnshire where he also bred pedigree Jersey cows.

Rob Meadley
Rob Meadley

Rob joined the Brigg office in November 2009 and is involved with renewable energy services across Brown & Co. Rob has experience and knowledge of renewable technologies across the broad and applies sound agricultural business knowledge to renewable energy projects.

From a well-established East Yorkshire arable farming family, the Meadley family have farmed at Grange Farm in North Frodingham since 1911 – celebrating their farming centenary next year.
Rob has a Geography BSc Hons degree at Durham University, where his interest in climate change and renewable energy began. He went on to gain an MSc in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. Together with several years practical farming experience, he joined Brown & Co from Savills’s Cambridge office, where he trained as a rural surveyor.
