St Lucia Heats Up!
St Lucia Heats Up!

The St Lucia land and property market continues to heat up. With Government residential and tourism development incentives attracting long tax and duty breaks, the island has
benefited from major new overseas owner targeted developments. These are fuelling the market, particularly at the upper end. Although official figures are not available, Brown & Co estimates the property market has seen 20% growth per annum over the last two consecutive years.

Living on a tropical island paradise is no longer the sole preserve of the rich and famous. St Lucia represents good value compared to some of its more developed neighbours and is proving popular with investors, as well as those seeking a second home in a relaxed environment in t he sun. The island is becoming a sought after re-location destination
for retirees as well as returning nationals keen to get back to the ‘low stress’ Caribbean way of life, while the developing infrastructure is helping to attract and support foreign owners.

St Lucia remains distinctly different from other Caribbean volume tourism destinations. The island benefits from its well-deserved ‘simply beautiful’ destination slogan, offering better value and diversity than other Caribbean hotspots. Surrounded by dazzling blue sea, St Lucia also boasts one of the newest World Heritage sites, the Piton Mountains with surrounding tropical rain forest.

Offering a choice of amazing property locations at around half typical UK values and good rental income, St Lucia remains an attractive proposition for investors keen to combine business and pleasure in their property investment.
