Jane Stolworthy – Residential Negotiator and Valuer – North Norfolk:
I came to Brown&Co last year having been an Estate Agent in the midlands since 1989. I relocated to North Norfolk and decided to take a break and try other things, however Estate Agency is in my blood and I found it was hard to live without it.
I honestly feel I have the best job in the world, and I work for the best Firm in the world, my experience with Brown&Co, is awesome, they have allowed me to use my vast experience to grow into a very successful role. I have been encouraged to use my skills to develop my role within the Firm and I now look after two of our North Norfolk offices.
Brown & Co offer excellent training, I have recently completed a soft skills training course which has allowed me to utilise my skills in different areas, they are a Firm that listens to what we have to say and responds to our needs.
Most importantly, I saw Brown&Co as a Firm that was growing fast and one that I wanted to be part of, I feel I am a valued team player and that I am apart of an exciting forward thinking responsive business that will succeed in a highly competitive environment.
Chris Stenhouse - Architectural Designer, Norwich Office:
Having previously worked for a large PLC company it has been a breath of
fresh air working for Brown&Co. I started in April 2007 and have been
given several delightful Barn Conversion schemes to carry out on behalf
of our clients.
The Partners and staff are a pleasure to work with, and the fact that
this Firm is based on its staff being its most important asset makes the
working environment a joy.
I look forward to being a part of Brown&Co for several years to come.
Elizabeth Cave - Land Agent
'I joined Brown & Co as Assistant Land Agent in the summer of 2006,
straight after completing a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land
Management at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire. After
previous work experience and employment at a smaller land agency
practice, I felt Brown & Co offered the opportunities and prospects in
Land Agency I wished to pursue in the future. Even though Brown & Co is
a large firm, communication between each office is excellent, everyone
is happy to share their knowledge and experience. This has inevitably
improved my communication skills and confidence.
Brown & Co are
providing me with the relevant knowledge I need to enable me to complete
my last year of APC and continue my CAAV training. This experience
includes Rural Property Valuation, Sales and Purchases, organising Farm
Machinery Sales and Planning and Compensation matters. Farm Machinery
Sales, however time consuming, are by far the most satisfying and
enjoyable, as you meet so many different people.'
