Based in Norwich the Planning and Building Services department provides planning and architectural design input on a wide range of schemes across the Brown&Co office network.
From inception of the scheme, including drawings and planning/building control applications, through to completion we work on a range of schemes including; barn conversions, office refurbishment, agricultural buildings, new builds and listed buildings.
Our experienced team are also able to handle contract administration of projects from small schemes to full refurbishments involving hundreds of thousands of pounds. We are also able to prepare specifications of works and obtain tenders from our registered contractors who are both competitive and offer good quality workmanship. By completely overseeing the works and certifying payments we can provide a completed walk-in building or conversion.
Our team have many years experience in all types of architectural work, including the particularly specialist area of listed building refurbishment and the associated consents.
Our close working relationships with local authority planning and conservation and building control officers enables us to adapt to fast changing regulations and complete projects in line with clients’ objectives.
If the intention is for the completed project to be sold or let on completion of the scheme our building services team can work with our property teams with residential and commercial specialism to ensure that the work is undertaken with future sale or rental value in mind.
Our building services team offer design flair together with a safe pair of hands to take your project through from the initial stages to a completed project. We offer as much or as little assistance as you require throughout this process – designing and overseeing an entire project or helping with only parts to suit each individual contract.
