Brown&Co to work with Defra and Farmers on an ELMS Carbon Farming Test & Trial
As we submit the 2020 Basic Payment Scheme applications – the last before reductions to payments begin, attention will start to focus on the Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS) with a view to replace the lost revenue.
Brown & Co are excited to be working with DEFRA over the next 15 months on an ELMS Test & Trial exploring on-farm carbon capture and offset opportunities.
Farmer interaction and feedback will play a large role in our Test & Trial. As a firm we are helping to shape a carbon farming scheme that is practical and accessible to run alongside, and be integrated into, commercial farming businesses.
We are excited to present Agriculture as part of the solution to the Climate Change issues that the world faces, and to work with farmers to acknowledge the positive carbon practices they already undertake, and to incentivise the uptake & implementation of further measures into their businesses.
We will be looking for around 200 participants from across the country. To register your interest please email Henry Treloar | firstname.lastname@example.org
