The government has re-launched the eagerly anticipated Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme which gives the opportunity to claim back 40% on eligible farm equipment.
Applications must be in before 31st August 2019
Efficiency of operations, driven by technology usage, will become increasingly important as we move into changing times in UK agriculture. The scheme enables farmers to invest in equipment which will increase their understanding and control over their farming operation.
Key pieces of equipment include precision farming, grain store management, min-till drilling, weather monitoring and further equipment for livestock, arable and horticultural enterprises. The grants are there to support investments in animal welfare, resource efficiency and nutrient management. In this round of funding there are an extra 26 items added to the list.
The eligible equipment has been compiled into a shopping list of products from which you can select. The government have allocated each item a standard cost, if your chosen equipment costs more or less than the standard cost you will still receive the fixed 40% grant on the standard cost.
The value of the grant ranges from £3,000 to £12,000 with the fund being limited to £15 Million. There has been significant interest in the scheme, so act now to submit your application before the all funding is allocated.
