Maryam joined Brown&Co as an urban designer in April 2018 after working as an architectural assistant post part II in a local architectural practice in Lincoln, where she was involved in a wide range of projects including healthcare, residential, retail and urban design. Maryam has a PhD degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, Nottingham Trent University.
Maryam’s doctoral research focuses on the impact of Persian gardens landscape design on the creation of the initial urban pattern of Isfahan, the cultural capital of Iran. She holds a master’s Degree in architecture obtained from the University of Nottingham for which she specialized in sustainability in high-rise buildings. Her 65 storey multi-function tower in Manhattan, under taken on the first semester was 'Highly Commended’ by the jury of the Isover Multi-Comfort House Architectural Design competition 2011. Her 27 storey multifunctional tall building, which includes a bi-technology agenda to integrated desalination and food production in Abu Dhabi, has been published on CTBUH website.
