Lydia joined Brown&Co in July 2018 and she is currently involved in preparing, submitting and managing planning applications and promoting sites through the Local Plan process across the East of England. Her work encompasses providing planning and development appraisals, identifying opportunities and planning applications ranging from specialist barn conversion projects to housing and commercial schemes working alongside the divisions within Brown&Co. Lydia’s project management skills enable her to build strong relationships with clients and achieve positive planning outcomes.
Prior to working for Brown&Co, Lydia worked as a Senior Planning Officer in Development Management at South Cambridgeshire District Council for over 5 years. This provided her with significant knowledge and experience of the planning system working in development management, managing planning applications ranging from major housing and commercial development to conservation schemes, appearing as expert witness at planning inquiries, and mentoring staff.
Lydia is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI), has an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham and a BA (Hons) degree in Geography from Aberystwyth University.
