Our auction service, operating from both the Norwich and Lincoln offices, has sold a total of over £27million worth of property and land in 2022 - with three more sales to go until the end of the year.

'Outstanding results' saw our Norwich auctions operation sell over £14.4million and the County Property Auction in Lincoln sell over £12.75million to date in 2022.

Our auction teams have taken on so many new instructions that, unusually for this time of year, three more auctions are being held in 2022. Two online auctions are being held from Norwich; one on 22nd-23rd November and another on 6th-7th December and a livestream auction from Lincoln, on 14th December.

Peter Hornor, chartered surveyor and auctioneer in our Norwich office, said: “We are delighted our auction service continues apace with, unusually in November and December, two more sales.

We have so far seen outstanding results from our online auctions with a great deal of demand. Auctions are a way of maximising value and offer the beauty of transparency and a result on the day of the sale at the fall of the virtual hammer."

Peter Hornor, Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer.

"No doubt this method of sale is a very successful way of selling property with considerable demand from buyers, especially in the current phase of the housing market. We already have lots listed for the spring.

"Auctions do not suit everybody but we are certain this method of sale is very much here to stay."

James Mulhall, Head of Property Auctions, Lincoln, said: "The County Property Auction team has had an excellent 2022 selling £12.75million worth of property and land which equates to 63 out of 83 lots offered with one auction still to go on the 14th December."

In this month’s auction, a well-known property in Norwich, Norfolk; Wedgewood Guest House, St Stephen’s Road, which has operated for around 20 years, is for sale for a guide price of £395,000-£425,000.

Another fascinating property being auctioned in December is The Old Manor House, Long Stratton, Norfolk for sale for a guide price of £400,000-£450,000. This comes to the market for the first time in 70 years and has outbuildings associated with the family business known as Cracknells Butchers of Long Stratton.
