The Broadland Food Innovation Centre is a new commercial development designed to support growing food and drink businesses and help facilitate their growth and drive commerce. The 13 food grade units of varying sizes have been completed to a 'ready to use' standard. The units range from 1,646 s ft to 4,962 sq ft, all within a secured site.

Each commercial unit faces the communal Green Street along the centre and has direct individual access from the outer side. The units have a warehouse/ production area, offices, WCs and kitchenette. The buildings have been designed to specifically with food and drink production in mind. For example, high ceilings allow for gravity-based processes and a systems support helps maximise energy efficiency.

The concept is to build a hub of likeminded businesses to foster networking and support for small/ medium sized businesses in the food and drink industry.

Hethel Innovation will provide bespoke business support packages with access to experts on every aspect of business growth.

The University of East Anglia is fostering a food and drink cluster bringing together all interested parties from across research, academia, supply, production, the food communities, charities, agriculture, government and finance. This will be available to both tenants and eligible businesses.

In addition to the above each tenant will have the use of separate tasting rooms, test kitchens and presentation areas within the Innovation centre. To generate economic opportunity and success for East Anglia's food and drink entrepreneurs, businesses and communities.
