The Grimsby to Walpole scheme is a new National Grid high voltage overhead electricity transmission line with associated works, including five new substations to be built from Grimsby West to Walpole, Norfolk.

The proposed upgrade is required to increase the capability of the electricity transmission network and is needed to facilitate the development of further offshore wind power.

Currently preliminary investigations are being made by the agents acting on behalf of the scheme with a view to defining a route. The project is reviewing the feedback to develop a more defined route and National Grid have indicated that further information will be provided before the beginning of a round of public consultation in early 2024.

If you are an affected party then you are entitled to professional representation, the cost of which is covered by the scheme. We have already been instructed by a number of landowners and would like to offer our services to you.
