Alton joined Brown&Co in 2019 bringing over two decades of strategic leadership in finance, operations, technology, quality assurance and risk management, to the firm. At the heart of his role is the strategic bringing-together of a framework of best-practice solutions that span both the head office functions and the client-facing staff to provide the tools that support, underpin and enhance the firm's front-line services, providing our customer-facing teams with the essential tools they need to undertake their roles and service their clients.

A qualified accountant with a background in financial services, professional services, and the energy and facilities industries, Alton's role is integral in the firm's financial control, best-practice systems implementation, risk mitigation, and policy improvement which collectively deliver financially and in line with the firm's vision and values. He is the first to admit that he could not do his job without the team of 300+ property and land experts alongside whom he works.

Alton also sits on the board of a local rural charity and on the board of a regional housing association. On a note of personal pride, his approach was highly commended by the Institute of Directors in 2019 in their Director of the Year awards.
