James joined Brown&Co in 2008 having graduated from Harper Adams with a BA(Hons) in Business Management and Marketing. From a farming background, James specialises in business appraisals, business restructuring, partnership dissolutions, expert witness advice, setting up and monitoring of Contract Farming Agreements, Rural grants and Environmental Stewardship.
Becoming a Partner in 2019 he leads the Agricultural Business Consultancy team in Banbury. James also works across the country with Banks and Investment Houses who require Due Diligence for Agricultural enterprises including the renewables sector with a focus on anaerobic digestion.
Offering strategic advice to livestock farmers involving a detailed business analysis, budget and cashflow production, liaising and negotiating with key stakeholders, scenario forecasting and ongoing business support, to guide the delivery and implementation of strategic recommendations.
James works across England and Wales he is an approved Farming Connect Advisor for Wales and also holds the Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE) accredited by Pearson Learning at a level 7 (Masters level) BTEC.
