A presentation of the 'Spirit of Purllant Award,' in memory of the late Partner Chris Purllant, was made at our internal conference in St Neots.

The award is in memory of Chris, who died in 2020 of Motor Neurone Disease, aged just 45.

This year it was awarded, in front of the entire firm, to Derek Jackson who works in the Banbury office.

Robert Fairey, Partner, said: “Chris Purllant was a Partner of the firm and a good friend to many. He was a land agent practicing latterly out of St Neots and was an excellent auctioneer.

“Chris would be very proud of the outcome this year.”

Mr Jackson is a Planner (Mapping, Farm Plan and Boundary Surveying.) He received the award for his positive demeanor and his "general willingness to help and assist" those in the office.

Robert Fairey, left, with Mr Jackson, centre and the first winner of the award from last year, Edward Green, right.

Derek Jackson said: "I am very happy and very surprised to receive this award. So many of us work hard for Brown&Co, putting in the extra effort, so to be singled out is really quite humbling."
