Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Overview of Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our Architecture and Planning team at our Cambridge office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across residential and commercial sectors, supporting projects from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will be detail conscious and accurate and you will be supported by an experienced and collaborative team, with ongoing opportunities for training and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for projects from the earliest stages through to completion
- Assisting in the development of concept and detailed design proposals
- Producing high-quality 3d models, drawings, and visualisations
- Developing schemes in response to client briefs and budget constraints
- Preparing planning and building regulations submissions
- Contribute to the preparation/editing of planning and construction supporting documents
- Supporting coordination with consultants and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning policy
- Liaise and cultivate good relationships with clients and fellow professionals
- Attending site visits and project meetings (please note that this role will be predominantly office based)
- Keep informed about issues relating to architectural practice
Requirements
- RIBA Part 2 qualification
- Minimum one year of experience in an architectural office
- Strong design and technical detailing skills
- Ability to travel
- Be proficient in the use of CAD software such as AutoCad. Our software of choice is Archicad, with Twinmotion used for visualisations. Candidates should be familiar with the basics of 3D BIM modelling.
