Registration for the new online system for applications to the new Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) are now underway with approximately 20,000 businesses having registered so far. With 80,000 businesses still due to sign up, those claimants who have not yet registered are advised to do so in the near future to avoid being part of a last minute rush later in the year. By registering now claimants will also be able to check their business details and land holding are correctly recorded on the system and will have the opportunity to act in good time if any of these details are incorrect.
The system is still under development but it is hoped that in the near future claimants will be able to transfer entitlements, although we are already past the RPA’s initial estimated time frame for this to be possible.
