A Victorian former children's home situated in a prime area of Norwich, the 'Golden Triangle,' sold at online auction for over £1.3million.
The property, located on Newmarket Road, Norwich, was built in 1881 and served as a children's home between 1949 and 1953.
It attracted 71 bids at online auction with our Norwich office before going under the virtual hammer for £1.32milion.
The house, situated on a 1.3-acre plot, is considered one of the most significant period houses on the Town Close Estate.
It was put up for auction by the Norwich Freemen's Charity with a guide price of £1m.
The house has six bedrooms, two bathrooms on the first floor, further bedrooms and an upper sitting room on the second floor.
Outside, the property boasts a formal driveway to the front and a Coach House.

Peter Hornor, Partner, Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer at our Norwich office, said: "The house came to the market for the first time and requires improvement and renovation throughout, while retaining all the original features of a special private residence.
"It was a rare opportunity to acquire a very special house in a special place.
"The fact it sold for such a substantial amount shows the continuing strength of the online auction model with proven results of maximising value for our clients.
"We are delighted to see the interest in this house which offered such a special opportunity of purchasing a period property in a good location and ripe for renovation.
"These properties are rare finds; hence why this one proved to be extremely desirable."
