WYNDFORD WAGYU
Elite Genetics, Global Opportunity Founded in 2017 following the dispersal of the Wyndford Holstein herd, Wyndford Wagyu was born from a desire to explore a new chapter in cattle breeding. Philip Maddocks, seeking to ease his father David's transition from 60 years in Holstein pedigree breeding, discovered the allure of Wagyu after experiencing it in the USA. What began as a small herd quickly became a passion project, blending Philip's inherited love for cattle genetics with the world's finest Wagyu lines.
The initial acquisition of 11 German Wagyu, combined with the establishment of a Holstein recipient herd, enabled the introduction of premium fullblood genetics via embryo transfer, positioning Wyndford to invest in elite genetics from around the globe.
In 2020, father-daughter duo Rob and Jess Edwards joined the business, taking the herd from 75 head of Fullblood Wagyu and a limited recipient herd to a globally recognised, high performing enterprise. Under their leadership, Wyndford Wagyu has grown at an unprecedented pace, developing a brand and business with international prestige.
Today, Wyndford Wagyu represents a fully established, thriving enterprise, combining a strong operational model, proven management team, and world-class genetics. This is a rare opportunity for new ownership to step seamlessly into a premium Wagyu business with scalable growth potential, fully positioned to expand further in the dynamic global market.
