Overview of the Role
Our Bury St Edmunds office is looking for a part-time Administrator to join our established Land Agency team. This is a diverse role that would suit a highly organised individual with a strong administrative background, excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
The successful applicant will provide efficient business support to a busy team of Land Agents and rural property professionals, assisting with a wide range of administrative duties including client correspondence, report preparation, project administration and handling enquiries. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced rural property environment dealing with general administration, correspondence and report writing, and enquiries from the public.
Responsibilities
- Managing project files and undertaking project administration.
- Document management - preparing reports, formatting and proofreading, including letters, reports and similar.
- Supporting Land Agency colleagues with the administration of land, property and estate management instructions.
- Handling incoming enquiries from clients, landowners, occupiers and members of the public.
- Assisting with invoicing and financial administration.
- Organising office and client meetings, events and seminars.
- Producing accurate, high-quality transcription from dictation.
- Occasional minute taking at team and client meetings.
- Diary management and arranging travel for team members.
- Assisting with the administration for presentations and seminars for the office.
- Maintaining document management systems and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Ordering stationery and office supplies as required.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience in an administrative role.
- Previous experience supporting a professional services, property, rural or surveying team would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Word processing and audio typing skills.
- High standards of presentation and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a busy team.

This is a permanent part-time position based on 22.5 hours (Wednesday – Friday).
