Cottages sold at auction feature in BBC's Homes Under the Hammer
Wed 02 Oct 2024
Two cottages sold at online auction by our Norwich team are featured in a new episode of BBC's Homes Under the Hammer.
The properties were then featured by the BBC 1 TV programme Homes Under the Hammer which follows the purchase of houses at auction and their transformation over several months, even years.
Peter Hornor, our Partner, Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer, based in the Norwich office, was filmed returning to see the cottages which are currently being transformed into one large family home.
In episode 27 titled 'Two for the Price of One,' recently broadcast, the buyers show Homes Under the Hammer TV presenter Tommy Walsh around the newly emerging home with a large extension at the rear.
The programme then shows Peter being interviewed who says: "It's exciting to see it (the property) at this stage.
"I like the way they (the buyers) have used the plot and my Residential department who have seen it in great detail think it is a lovely home.
"Much of the charm of this place rests with where it is and what it is and I think having looked around, before it is completed, there is a lot of space...I am very impressed."
If you have a property to sell at auction or are looking to buy one, our firm has an extensive auction department with hubs in Norwich, Retford and Lincoln.
