A beautiful house which used to be a pub called the New Inn, situated on the Royal Sandringham Estate, is for sale.

Inn House, Abbey Road, Flitcham, dates in part to around 1820, when the pub was owned by an Elijah Eyres. Records show it went up for sale at auction in 1878.

It closed in the 1980s as a pub and was converted into a family house.

It now offers a rare opportunity to live in Flitcham. The current owner has added a garage and workshop and there is an extensive patio terrace as well as a hidden, south-facing Mediterranean-style courtyard. Lovely views can be enjoyed from the upstairs of the property.

Inside is a reception hallway with a pitched ceiling and exposed roof trusses and a second hallway. Off this is a sitting room with a wood burning stove, a study, a dining room and a kitchen/ breakfast room. There is also a utility and boot room with a stable door to the garden.

The kitchen is fitted with handmade units, has a two-door AGA (also and additional LPG gas hob) and an area for dining. Also from the kitchen is an impressive feature, the cellar; this has a staircase leading down to it and has always been used as a playroom for the family but, has a variety of uses and would make a great media room.Upstairs there are four bedrooms and a family bathroom.
