Showing our Appreciation for Farmers over Harvest 2025
Tue 19 Aug 2025
This harvest, our team at Brown&Co has been out on the road delivering a little something special to farmers across the east of England.
As combines and tractors worked tirelessly to bring in the nation’s crops, we handed out goodie bags brimming with locally-sourced cakes, fruit, crisps and drinks. The idea was simple: to say thank you for the long hours and hard work that go into harvest, while also highlighting the importance of mental health support.
Inside each bag, alongside the food treats, we included information about the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), our Charity of the Year. RABI offers vital wellbeing and financial support to farmers and their families, and we wanted to make sure people know help is available if and when they need it.
The initiative was coordinated by our King’s Lynn colleagues Lulu Agnew and Clair Morton, who saw how challenging this growing year has been for many.
“Harvest can be an incredibly demanding time, both physically and mentally,” said Lulu. “These parcels are a small gesture of appreciation, but also a reminder that no one in farming should feel alone.”
The response from farmers was heartening. Many told us the deliveries had brightened their day, and it was clear how much they valued the recognition for their efforts.
We couldn’t have made this happen without the support of local businesses and friends within our community. Simply Cake Co kindly donated their white chocolate and raspberry blondies, Cawston Press provided drinks, and Litcham Deli also gave their backing.
Thanks to the positive feedback, we are now looking at ways to expand the project across more of our offices in 2026, reaching even more farmers during harvest.
At Brown&Co, farming is at the centre of what we do. Supporting the wellbeing of those who dedicate their lives to feeding the nation is something we feel strongly about, and we’re proud that this small initiative has made a meaningful impact.
Happy farmers receiving their parcels!
