Rob joined Brown&Co in 2009 initially working in renewable energy services, Rob now focuses fully on core agricultural business advice covering Environmental Stewardship and Basic Payment Scheme. Rob works with a wide range of rural businesses providing specialist business advice, this covers strategic and succession planning, budgeting, cashflow monitoring, basic payment scheme, environment stewardship & compliance and grant funding.

From an established East Yorkshire arable family farm, Rob has a BSc Hons Geography degree from Durham University as well as MSc in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He has also completed the “Challenge of Rural Leadership” course run by the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

Amongst Rob’s specialisms include more than 10 years’ experience in bioenergy supply chains both in the UK and Europe. Principally, focusing on agricultural by-products and dedicated energy crops such as miscanthus. Another specialism is completing very detailed labour & Machinery costing reviews for farming businesses which included harvest year reviews for AHDB Monitor Farm programme.
