Simon Alden - Partner, Land Agency

Simon is a Partner in the Firm and is based in our Oxford office.  Formerly, Managing Director of the long-established land agency practice Adkin, he merged his business with Brown&Co in April 2025.  He graduated from the Royal Agricultural College and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) in 1988 becoming a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) in 1992.

Simon is a RICS Registered Valuer and his specialist areas of work include Planning & Development (covering promotion agreements, options and conditional contracts), Development Agency, Landlord & Tenant, Corporate & Private Client Valuations, Compulsory Purchase and a number of other professional services.  He has now been advising clients across Southern England and further afield for over thirty-five years on a wide range of property related matters.

Simon is a past President of the CAAV and was until recently a member of their Executive Committee, as well as sitting on their Governing Council.  Simon is known for his attention to detail and unbiased professionalism.
