Brown&Co have expanded their established and highly successful traditional in-room auction service to now include an ‘eBay’ style online timed auction service. This service provides the ability to offer lots both using the traditional Unconditional auction or the relatively new to the UK process of Conditional auction sometimes termed the 'Modern Method of Auction.' The online timed auction service sees lots offered for sale via UK major portals, such as Rightmove, Zoopla and Brown&Co high traffic website. This ensures that properties are actively and extensively exposed to potential buyers. Selling under the hammer provides the transactional benefits of speed, certainty and transparency.
Properties offered via the online auction service are both Reserved and Guided, the Reserve agreed in conjunction with the seller to ensure they are comfortable in selling at a minimum price. Rather than the traditional approach of grouping lots for a single date event with lots being offered consecutively, online auction breaks with this approach and lots are offered on a bespoke individual lots based auction. This means that the length of the auction can be set in agreement at the requirement of the vendor.
The length of timed online auction is typically over a period of four to six weeks and depending on the chosen method of sale, be it Unconditional or Conditional completion of the sale can vary from 20 - 40 business working days.
Online timed property auctions are relevant to residential, commercial, land and investments. Mixed tenure sales work particularly well with commercial shop with residential upper proving popular. The Brown&Co Online Auction service is not geographically restricted so can handle property sales across both England and Wales. Auction valuations to provide an auction pricing strategy are provided both free of charge and without obligation.
