New Life for Wroxton Chapel

Brown&Co are pleased to announce the sale of the former Chapel in the village of Wroxton, near Banbury. The Chapel which is constructed using local Hornton Stone and dating back to 1935 generated strong interest due to its location and planning permission to convert for residential purposes.

The building boasts a wealth of character and original features and is conveniently located in the centre of this relatively small village which is rich in history taking its name from “Wroces Stan” meaning buzzards’ stone.

Tim Humphrey, Senior Associate commented:

“The new owners of the Chapel had high sentimental value and happy memories attached to the property. The family had previously resided in the village for 20 years and were regular visitors to the Chapel. The opportunity to restore the property and relocate back to the village was one that the couple could not risk missing.”
