Old Watermill Farm comprises a fine traditional House next to the original millstream and set within 4 pastoral acres. There is record of the mill being here in the seventeenth Century and it continued to operate up until mid-Victorian times. The well-proportioned accommodation has considerable character with exposed timbers and an inglenook fireplace in the large living room. There is oil fired central heating and, while the property merits some updating, it has great potential.

LOCATION Lower Gresham is an attractive hamlet half a mile from the round towered church and primary school in Gresham village at the eastern end of the parish. There is also a modern village hall and playing field here amidst this attractive wooded countryside. A tributary of the River Bure rises a couple of miles to the north-west of Old Watermill Farm which fed the elongated millpond. This flows south-eastwards past the birthplace of Sir George Edwards who established the Agricultural Workers' Union in Edwardian times. The Felbrigg Estate extended through here with the National Trust woodland at Lion's Mouth and Beacon Hill (Norfolk's highest point) close by in the direction of Cromer.

DIRECTIONS From Gresham village, 3 miles south of Sheringham, head eastwards from the church and primary school. After half a mile bear left for Aylmerton and Old Watermill Farm is the first property on the left. If approaching from Aylmerton in the opposite (north-east) direction around Cromer turn off the A148 down Church Road next to the Roman Camp Inn and petrol station in Aylmerton. Pass the church and through the village for a mile and turn right at the stone cross. After a sharp right hand bend Old Watermill Farm is the fourth property on the right.
