A challenging site of only 8m in width. Creating a new house which sat within a well-established residential area, was large enough to make commercially viable and did not represent over development of the narrow plot was a challenge. Taking cues from some existing residential garden buildings and the local vernacular of post war arts and crafts style properties, the design for this house needed to be subservient to the adjacent properties. As a smaller brother to its neighbours, the design built in 3 bedrooms, living space and a courtyard garden, along with off-road parking. All of this is housed within a semi-garage/studio style property.
