The land mainly comprises Grade 2 soils with some Grade 3 as classified on DEFRA Agricultural Land Classification Map, with clayey soils being of the Hanslope series according to the Soil Survey Map for England and Wales. The land has been farmed under a traditional combinable crop rotation with a focus on growing Winter Wheat and Spring Barley cereals.
